Spring Kidsignments Wrap Up / Ladysignments Mission

Oh wow! What a great Spring Kidsignments sale! Even the rain could not keep the shoppers away! We want to extend a big thank you to all the consignors, the hard working volunteers, and all of our friends who have been such a huge support in this business. And now we can also be thankful for all the new Kidsignments friends we have made. We want to give an EXTRA thank you to our Dove Project partners, Mount Olive Preschool, and Busy Mom Taggers. It was great to work together for good! I’m excited to say that together we were able to raise over $2,000 for our Dove friends in Uganda.  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Money given to Dove Project Africa will go to provide vulnerable children in northeastern Uganda with life skills, a chance at education, character development and spiritual guidance while sharing the love of Christ.

So now I’m even more excited to see what Ladysignments is going to bring. The Ladysignments sale will be June 18-20th at the Calvary Assembly of God in Marion.  You can find more information on the website at www.marionconsignments.com under the Ladysignments tab. What I am thrilled to tell you about is our mission focus for this sale. Let me first introduce you to my African daughter, Josephine.

Josephine was orphaned at the age of 14. She is a very determined young lady. She is full of hope and her face shines with her love for Jesus. I could write a book about her, but I will share just a chapter of her life. Josephine was working as a midwife when God placed something else on her heart. She was working across the street from an abortion clinic. Daily she watched young teenage girls walk into the clinic. In Uganda it is very frowned upon if you are pregnant as an unmarried teen; so much so that you are even abandoned by your family. So God placed it upon Josephine’s heart to start a home for abandoned pregnant teens. The mountains were moved and God gave her that home, The Fortress, a home for abandoned pregnant teens!

So, how did Josephine become my African daughter? Well, that’s another chapter but to summarize, she wanted a momma and I wanted an African daughter. Easiest adoption in history! Josephine has been able to travel home to meet her family here in the United States and she has made our family complete!

She has made many new friends here in the US and has had the opportunity to share the mission God has placed on her heart.  We are thrilled at this opportunity to support The Fortress. For the Ladysignments sale, we are teaming with John & LaNae Abnet, a couple who met Josephine and saw the beauty in Josephine’s ministry. (Another great chapter!) Right now John and LaNae are on a mission of their own as they raise money for the Fortress. They intend to be the first couple to record a trip by kayak from the source of the Wabash River to the Gulf of Mexico. You can follow their journey on their website www.separateboats.com or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Separate-Boats/805090916188724

Pretty exciting but their greatest mission on this journey is to tell people about The Fortress and raise support for them along the way.

Can you tell how excited I am? I’M EXCITED! So get busy and start tagging and spread the word so people will come and shop! It’s so amazing to see how God works when we all work together for good. See you in June! And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. Romans 8:28.

Please respond to this email if you would like to sell at the Ladysignments sale and be put on our email list.

Thanks, Kim McAbee
